It helps break down lactose into its two constitutive elements (galactose and glucose) and prevents intestinal symptoms related to lactose intolerance (pain, abdominal swelling, meteorism and diarrhoea) from appearing after the consumption of any dairy product, processed food or medicine containing lactose.
